Universities and Educational Facilities
The University Center adds 375,000 square feet (35,000 sq m) of academic and student space to the New School’s Greenwich Village campus. The 16-story center houses design studios, laboratories, interdisciplinary classrooms, the main university library, a nine-floor student residence, an 800-seat auditorium, a café, and flexible academic and social spaces.
A team representing Harvard University has taken top honors in the 2016 ULI Hines Student Competition with its winning master plan proposal to transform a Midtown Atlanta site in a thriving, sustainable, mixed-use, walkable, and transit-accessible neighborhood. Though based on a hypothetical situation, the 2016 Hines Student Competition reflects many real-life concerns of Atlanta.
