For this year’s Fall Meeting, ULI is partnering with DoubleDutch, the category leader in mobile engagement applications for events, to deliver a strong social component with “gamification” and an interactive member wall to allow for a richer member experience. The enhanced ULI Events app will provide all of the usual information including session times, meeting venue details, and speaker information, while adding new social networking features that will allow members to interact with each other while experiencing the Fall Meeting in New York City.

With the app, participants’ posts including photos, comments, and “likes” will be displayed prominently at the Javits Center on a very large interactive member wall.
These are some notable features of the updated enhanced Fall Meeting app:
- Status Update: A quick way to share photos, comments, your location, and which session you’re attending;
- Activity feed: A function that allows you to keep up with your friends, view photos from the event, find trending sessions and topics, and “like” and comment on others’ posts;
- Agenda: A revamped color-coded agenda to streamline your scheduling as well as related information such as session times, room numbers, and speakers;
- Users: A tool to see who else is attending the event, who has similar interests, and options to connect with them;
- Exhibitors: A way to find exhibitors and sponsors, and “check in” to leave comments and feedback;
- Profile: Attendees’ official app profile, including a name, a photo, a title, a company, and interests; and
- Leaderboard: A tool that allows users to see who has garnered the most points—accumulated by participating via the app—at the conference and to allow users to climb their way to the top.
At last year’s Fall Meeting in Chicago, the ULI Events app was downloaded more than 2,000 times; users who currently have the app will receive an automatic update once it is available. If you have not downloaded the app, visit the app store on your device and search for “ULI EVENTS.”
