Collete English Dixon

Collete English Dixon, executive director of the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate at Roosevelt University, brings over 30 years of investment management experience in commercial real estate, including overseeing the sale of $8.7 billion worth of properties and sourcing opportunities worth $2.75 billion in Midwest markets. She is the first African American woman to lead a higher-education real estate program in the US and has held leadership roles in various real estate organizations.

How we use words is important. Words can describe both racial inequities and the efforts to remedy them. As the real estate industry continues the work to dismantle systemic racism, it’s critical to be intentional about language.
