Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Private enterprise that fails to strategize growth is likely to decline and be usurped by more deliberate competitors. Governments that introduce new policies without ensuring there are enough staff or resources to uphold them won’t be able to put them into practice. Faced with the imperative to run lean but remain agile, many organizations are seeking ways to integrate digital tools powered by generative AI into their workflows to innovate and help alleviate accumulated organizational debt.
A futurist discussed the potential integrating artificial intelligence into the commercial real estate industry in a general session at the 2023 ULI Fall Meeting in Los Angeles.
And, according to bestselling author, entrepreneur, and futurist, Martin Ford, who delivered the closing keynote address at the ULI Asia Pacific Summit 2023, artificial intelligence, or AI, will soon “touch, impact and influence” every aspect of our daily lives.
In April, ULI Young Leaders participated in a webinar that addressed the current and future impact of artificial intelligence on the real estate industry and the obstacles and challenges to its adoption.
Rik Kirkland, director of publishing and principal at consultancy McKinsey & Co., believes that one story has the potential to “change everything” between now and the year 2100. Speaking at ULI’s Midwinter Meeting in Paris, Kirkland said, “The biggest story unfolding around us today is we’re witnessing the dawn of the era of machine learning and artificial intelligence.”
