The MSRED program is designed as a 37-credit, 12-course curriculum that can be completed on a full-time or part-time bases in 1½ or 2½ years, depending on the course load taken by each student. Students can enroll for a fall or spring semester start. All students complete a self-driven, comprehensive capstone project under the mentorship of faculty and a professional adviser.

Master of Urban Design – Future Cities | On Campus
The 2-year Master of Urban Design – Future Cities (MUD) is a design research-oriented program focused on sustainability, urban resiliency, health, and smart technologies. It utilizes advanced tools in urban data analytics, computational design, and VR/AR. With strong partnerships with world-leading firms, MUD offers interdisciplinary research opportunities, preparing professionals to address critical challenges in urban design. ANNUAL TUITION AND FEES
Tuition for 2024–2025 is $1,480 per credit. For the MSRED program this cost includes ULI membership, programming, and most meals during the residency. Travel for residency is not included in tuition. There is an additional studio fee of $37/credit for the MUD program.

STUDENT DEMOGRAPHICS
The diverse student body includes backgrounds in architecture, interior design, finance, accounting, built environment disciplines, as well as unrelated disciplines. Prior experience is not required. The student body as of fall 2022 includes 50% women and 63% people of color, including 13% international students with an age range of 22 to 61
