ULI Announces 12 Developments as Winners of the 2024 ULI Asia Pacific Awards for Excellence

Twelve developments from across Asia have been selected as winners of the 2024 ULI Asia Pacific Awards for Excellence, one of the real estate industry’s most prestigious honors. Announced at the 2024 ULI Asia Pacific Summit held in May in Tokyo, this year’s award winners include projects in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and the Philippines. These winners will automatically qualify as nominees for the 2024 ULI Global Awards for Excellence, where they will compete against projects from North America and Europe.

Twelve developments from across Asia have been selected as winners of the 2024 ULI Asia Pacific Awards for Excellence, one of the real estate industry’s most prestigious honors. Announced at the 2024 ULI Asia Pacific Summit held in May in Tokyo, this year’s award winners include projects in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and the Philippines. These winners will automatically qualify as nominees for the 2024 ULI Global Awards for Excellence, where they will compete against projects from North America and Europe.

The 2024 ULI Asia Pacific Awards for Excellence winners, in alphabetical order of location with project name, developers, and designers, are:

  • Jubilee Place, Brisbane, Australia. Developer: JGL Properties, Designer: Blight Rayner Architecture.
  • Upper House, Brisbane, Australia. Developer: Aria Property Group, Designer: Koichi Takada Architects.
  • Nightingale Marrickville, Sydney, Australia. Developer: Fresh Hope Communities, Designer: SJB.
  • Huangyan Canal Urban Rejuvenation, Taizhou, China. Developer: Huangyan District Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development / Huangyan City Investment Group, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, Designer: ECOLAND Planning and Design Corp.
  • Nantou Ancient City, Shenzhen, China. Developer: Shenzen Vanke Development Co. Ltd., Designer: Vanke Urban Research, vaLue. Development & Operation Consultant: reLifestyling Real Estate Management (Shanghai) Ltd.
  • Smiling Lion Cultural Village, Chengdu, China. Developer: Jianzhou New City Capital, Designer: Chengdu Municipal Engineering Design & Research Inst.
  • Two Taikoo Place, Hong Kong SAR. Developer: Swire Properties Limited, Designer: Wong & Ouyang (HK) Limited.
  • Maruwa Seto Factory, Seto, Japan. Developer: Murawa, Designer: Gensler/Takenaka Corporation.
  • Otemachi One, Tokyo, Japan. Developer: MITSUI & CO., LTD., Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., Designer: Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, KMDW, Architect: NIKKEN SEKKEI LTD, KAJIMA CORPORATION.
  • Menarco Tower, Taguig, Philippines. Developer: Menarco Development Corporation, Designer: Aidea Inc., CS Design Consultancy Inc.
  • Goodlife Makan, Singapore. Developer: Montfort Care, Designer: DP Architects Pte Ltd.
  • Rifle Range Nature Park, Singapore. Developer: National Parks Board, Designer: architects61 / Henning Larsen.

“This year’s Awards have drawn significant interest, with 44 projects vying for recognition, of which 12 winners were selected from 23 finalists. These winners have distinguished themselves by attaining a high standard of excellence across various disciplines, encompassing architecture, design, planning, construction, resiliency, economics, management, and sustainability. They are exemplary models that have created positive impact to the environment and the local communities,” remarked Albert Chan, director of development Planning and Design at Shui On Land and Chair of the 2024 ULI Asia Pacific Awards for Excellence jury.

The 2024 ULI Asia Pacific Awards for Excellence jury consisted of ULI members representing different disciplines, including experts in development, finance, planning, urban design, and futuristic architecture.
