Lars Huber, the CEO of Hines Europe, has been appointed as ULI Europe Chairman. Huber, who succeeds Marnix Galle, Executive Chair of the Board of developer Immobel, will serve on a voluntary basis for a two-year term starting on July 1.
The Los Angeles Better Buildings Challenge in June presented sustainability prizes to the “Best Buildings” in Los Angeles at its annual Innovation Awards. Hudson Pacific Properties, Barings, and CommonWealth Partners, which are both active members of ULI Los Angeles and Greenprint, were among the six projects honored.
Thirteen outstanding real estate development projects have been named the winners of the 2022 ULI Asia Pacific Awards for Excellence, one of the real estate industry’s most prestigious honors. The University of Texas at San Antonio can create a new vision for its Institute of Texan Cultures that advances the museum’s mission, strengthens the university’s presence in the Hemisfair District, and supports the San Antonio community, according to a report released by ULI. The report is based on recommendations from a panel of land-use and resilience experts convened in June through the Institute’s virtual Advisory Services Panel offering.
