The 2015 ULI Fall Meeting in San Francisco is expected to be bigger and better than ever before. The meeting will be held October 5–8 at the Moscone Center in the South of Market (SoMa) neighborhood. If you have not already registered, you can do so at fall.uli.org.

The Institute’s marquee annual event will include three content-rich days featuring industry leaders addressing every facet of real estate development; a chance to hear from world-renowned experts on the social, political, and cultural forces shaping cities and urban development; a record number of site tours exploring the Bay Area’s most exciting and innovative projects; and plenty of opportunities—both informal and organized—to expand your professional network.

Headlining the event are the following keynote speakers: California Governor Jerry Brown, former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Wells Fargo CEO and Chairman John Stumpf, and Airbnb Founder and CEO Brian Chesky. Here is a rundown of what is new this year at the ULI Fall Meeting:

  • In-Depth Speaker Series Typically held as a single panel discussion during the meeting’s opening general session, this year the speaker series will be held throughout the day on Tuesday and organized around four key themes: global trends and demographics; arts, culture, and entertainment; sustainability, resilience, and health; and disruption. After each session, speakers will hold more intimate Q-and-A sessions with smaller audiences. See Tuesday’s schedule at a glance for details.

  • The ULI Developer Showcase On Tuesday, attendees will have the opportunity to get a close-up look at 40 real estate projects featured in the first-ever ULI Developer Showcase. There will be visual displays of each project, financial information, and a representative from the development company on hand to discuss their deals.

  • An Expanded Selection of Site Tours On Monday, 17 site tours, 11 of which still have availability, will take place throughout the Bay Area. Tours that are still open include an exploration of San Francisco’s Eastern Waterfront, the transformation of Market Street into a high-tech corridor, and a trip to Walnut Creek, an urbanized suburb with several successful mixed-use projects. Go to the Tour Registration page to purchase your ticket.

  • Photo Competition on Social Media—And a Chance to Win a Free Associate Membership Using the #ULIFall hashtag on Instagram or Twitter, post your photos of the Fall Meeting to enter this competition. We want you to document your experience at the meeting, so feel free to get creative! Images can be taken of your trip to San Francisco, concurrent and general sessions, networking at parties and cocktail receptions, and any other moment you would like to share. Three winners from each day will win a complimentary one-year ULI associate membership, which can be applied to your account if you are already a member. The overall winner for the week will receive a complimentary registration to the 2016 ULI Fall Meeting in Dallas.
