Longtime ULI trustee Connie Moore has been named a ULI Life Trustee by the ULI Global Nominations Committee. Life Trustee nominees are recommended to the Global Board of Directors and approved by the Global Governing Trustees.

“Since I joined ULI 30 years ago, I’ve seen the organization effect positive change in the built environment,” said Moore. “I’m deeply gratified to be recognized for my work helping ULI grow into what it is today. I hope to continue making a difference for industry professionals, both in my hometown of San Francisco and the diverse communities worldwide that ULI serves.”

Life Trustees are individuals whose service to ULI has been meaningful, distinctive, and extraordinary. The designation is reserved for ULI full members and trustees who are selected for the honor based on their contributions of time, resources, and philanthropic contributions to ULI and the ULI Foundation. The Global Nominations Committee also considers the individual’s standing and reputation in the real estate and land use industry.

Moore served as president and CEO of BRE Properties, a San Francisco–based real estate investment and development firm, for nine years until it merged with Essex Property Trust in 2014. Prior to joining BRE, she was managing director of Security Capital Group & Affiliates. She currently serves as Chair of the Policy Advisory Board for the Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics at the University of California, Berkeley.

Moore has been recognized as one of the most influential women in San Francisco’s business community by the San Francisco Business Times and was honored as the 2010 Distinguished Alumna for the College of Business at San Jose State University. Other accolades for Moore include a 2011 Hall of Fame Award from the Allen Matkins Northern California Women of Influence Program and a 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley.

A ULI member since 1992, Moore currently serves as a ULI Foundation governor and has generously supported ULI’s mission through her service and contributions.

“Throughout her career, Connie has displayed a steadfast commitment to ULI’s mission of transforming the built environment and educating the next generation of real estate leaders,” said Peter Ballon, ULI Global Chair. “Her record of excellence across various roles at the top of the real estate industry and her dedication to San Francisco’s business community is an example for all our members. We’re proud to present her with one of ULI’s most prestigious honors.”
