The real estate market in Mexico is on the verge of transformation. Juan Diego Perez-Vargas, principal, Kaplan McLaughlin Diaz, talks to Urban Landonline magazine about a new era of the pension fund system that is moving into Mexican real estate. In addition, he speaks of the current state of Mexican markets as well as his latest project—a new arena located on the north side of Mexico City. This new 22,000-seat arena is expected to catalyze multiuse urban renewal in this part of the city and will serve as a symbol of emerging trends and new ways of thinking in the country’s real estate development sector.
