Once again, ULI will crowdsource a session for this year’s Fall Meeting in New York City. Using the ULI Meeting Idea Generator, participants can suggest topics and vote for their favorites. In 2013, a panel on the use of micro-units and the shared economy was named the winner.

“In addition to the work we normally do with the Program Committee, we wanted to give our members a chance to influence the meeting by sharing their ideas on the kind of panels fellow attendees might be interested in,” says Maria Fiore, ULI vice president for program development. “We received a lot of positive feedback about the crowdsourced panel in Chicago, and we are looking forward to seeing the creative ideas generated for this year’s Fall Meeting.”

The member whose topic garners the highest score will be offered a free registration to this year’s Fall Meeting, in addition to being asked to organize a panel with relevant speakers on the topic.

Other topics that are being discussed on the Idea Generator include the following:

This Idea Generator site was launched last summer in partnership with Mindmixer, which has also hosted a crowdsourcing site for ULI Orange County through an Urban Innovation grant.

The Idea Generator site will be open until July 14. You need to set up an account in order to vote or suggest a topic.
